IT HAS BEEN A GREAT LIFE! THERE IS SOMETHING IN THESE STORIES AND WILD ADVENTURES FOR EVERYONE. PLEASE READ, AND ENJOY, MY LIFE ADVENTURES, AS MUCH AS I HAVE ENJOYED LIVING THEM.

SOME THINGS THAT HAPPENED TO ME:

  • Three bush-plane accidents (unscheduled landings) while flying in remote Alaska
  • Six dangerous landings and two "DEADSTICK" landings (the engine quit) while flying my Cessna

At age fourteen, a shotgun shell primer exploded and nearly blew off my thumb.

  • I was shot with a 12-gauge shotgun while hunting, and had 87 BB's in my face, hands, arms and chest
  • 40-foot seas while on an 80-foot boat hunting in Kodiak, Alaska
  • 70 MPH storm while on our 49-foot boat in Prince William Sound, Alaska
  • Instantly engulfed in fog while flying in the Brooks Range Mountains, Alaska
  • Landed my plane in near-zero visibility on a mountain lake near Valdez, Alaska
  • Scary takeoff in my seaplane with high waves and winds at Katmai National Park, Alaska
  • While fishing from my boat in Alaska, a floatplane on takeoff didn't see us and flew within 8-feet over our heads.
  • Helicopter drop off - European guided downhill ski trek on a 25-mile glacier run. There were many deep crevasses and drop offs.
